Spirituality

Spirituality is a vital dimension of wellness, offering a foundation for meaning and purpose in life. Without it, other areas of wellness can feel disconnected, merely tasks to complete. By connecting with our innate meditative awareness, we can cultivate a fresh, positive outlook. Whether referred to as a Higher Power, God, Buddha Nature, or Higher Self, tapping into this source awakens all aspects of life. Katherine, raised Roman Catholic, has spent 35 years deeply studying spiritual traditions, including Yoga, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism. Her approach integrates these traditions into all her services, helping to foster heart-opening practices that transform every individual.

Recovery

With over 35 years of experience in supporting people across a spectrum of recovery needs, Katherine specializes in co-creating recovery paths that address the whole person. Recovery is not only for people in 12-step programs or is it isolated to changing behaviors; Recovery is a way to talk about healing for everyone. It must encompass the physical, emotional, relational, spiritual, and more. Using a holistic model rooted in the eight domains of wellness, she helps clients and their loved ones build new, sustainable relationships with difficult feelings and navigate recovery through empathy, nurturance, and protection. Drawing from 12-step principles, her wrap-around approach ensures the best outcome for everyone involved. Individual sessions and workshops are available to guide this process.

The Spectrum – Turning your Body, Mind, and Emotions into your Dream Team

We’ve often been conditioned to see challenging emotions—sadness, shame, frustration, anger—as problems to escape or suppress. Rarely are we taught to understand their purpose. But what if each of us possesses an inner guidance system whose parts, when working in harmony, are remarkably powerful, helpful, and even joyful? The truth is, we’ve been misinformed about the vital roles our nervous system responses play. Katherine’s work helps people transform their relationship with this system—teaching the mind to recognize the purposeful roles of each part, and to listen to emotions in a new way. When we reinterpret every part of ourselves as an ally rather than an adversary, the tension between “divergent” parts begins to dissolve. In their place emerges a powerful, unified team—body, mind, and emotions—working together to create profound wholeness, resilience, and healing.

Readiness for Healing

Healing, whether emotional or physical, occurs when we clear the inner obstacles that prevent openness. By surrendering and creating space, we allow the inherent powers of the body and emotions to work their magic. Healing happens when we let go, open our hearts to ourselves, and invite the natural healing forces within us to take over. This process is one of discovery and self-compassion, creating fertile ground for lasting change.

Methods

In both individual sessions and workshops, we use meditation practices (dharanas) drawn from ancient sources of wisdom, alongside contemplation, sharing, and writing exercises. These methods help you reconnect with your inherent flow of open-hearted energy, creating a space for personal transformation. The goal is to support your unique journey towards wellness, using the wisdom of the East and combining it with modern approaches to healing.
